I’m seeing more and more hardwood floors installed in today’s kitchen remodel, and I love it.
There is nothing wrong with stone or tile in the kitchen for durability, especially in vacation rental properties however, the warmth and richness of hardwoods also has a wonderful appeal.
Yes, a water leak from the fridge or dishwasher may damage a hardwood floor, but a hardwood floor will withstand the everyday wear and tear better than most homeowners may expect, including the occasional spill.
I also find walking or working on a hardwood floor a lot easier on the back, therefore in the kitchen makes sense to me.
Don’t rule out hardwood flooring in the kitchen as an option when considering a kitchen remodel.
Aloha
